               Conference Management 


Conference preparations and proceedings are managed by the steering committee appointed by the Director of Division of Reproductive, Maternal and Child Health services of the Ministry of health Tanzania, Dr. Ahmad Makuwani . The committee features members from the Government (Ministry of Health and PORALG), Development partners in the health sector (DPG-Health) and Implementing partners (Local and International).  RMNCAH technical working group (TWG 5) will play a key role as the conference secretariat advisory body throughout conference preparations and proceedings will be the permanent agenda in the TWG.

To ensure effective functionality of the committee, conference steering committee has five sub-committees, each with specific roles and leadership. These are resource mobilization and protocol; Technical, Transport and security; Media and communication; Event management sub-committees


Conference Program

The second RMNCAH Scientific Program features several key forums designed in a way to optimize effective participation of the conference delegates. The action packed three day-program contains plenary sessions, concurrent thematic break-out sessions, satellite events, electronic poster presentations and booth exhibitions.  The conference is expected to provide opportunity to share abstracts showcasing original research, programs, projects, or policy implementation as per conference theme and sub-themes. Abstract sessions will feature new insights informed by new data that will drive rigorous evidence-based RMNCAH expert discussions.


About Julius Nyerere International  Convention Centre

The Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre, a branch of the Arusha International Conference Centre is purpose-built public Convention Centre in Dar es salaam City Tanzania located at 10 Shaaban Robert Road, 40 minutes’ drive from Julius K. Nyerere International Airport (JKNIA).

Named after Tanzania’s first and founding president (father of the Tanzanian Nation), the late Julius Kambarage Nyerere JNICC has 12 conference rooms that can accommodate up to 1,800 delegates in flexible setups including theatre, classroom, half-moons, hollow-squares, horse shoe, etc. JNICC hosts professional events such as conferences, meetings, trade-shows, exhibitions, corporate events, weddings, dinner functions, cocktail parties, banquets, fashion shows and the like.

Equipment includes Simultaneous Interpretation System (SIS) of up to 4 languages, audio visuals and LCD projectors. wireless and wired Internet service is also available along with catering, exhibition areas, secretariat offices, VIP rooms and ample parking space.
